MEDICAL QUESTIONNAIRE

Breast Uplift / Modulation (Mastopexy) - Cosmetic Surgey Abroad, Prague, Czech Republic.

Breast ptosis (drooping or sagging breast) is a very common condition in women. Pregnancy, gravity, and aging all can take their toll on a woman's breasts. Sagging breasts lose their youthful look and can result in terrible embarrassment, teasing, and social trauma. Many will try to hide drooping breasts with their bra, clothing, and restricting public exposure.

Reducing the gland quantity immediately via cosmetic surgery reduces this pressure with the added potential benefit of improving the shape and symmetry of the bust. The quantity of gland displacement ranges from 200 to 1,500+ grams. The greater the breast-ptosis, (drooping breast), and breast size, the higher risk of complications around the healing areola. The ability to change your physical appearance can be as important as maintaining good health and physical fitness when it comes to boosting your feelings of self-esteem and confidence.

For the woman looking for a <breast lift and reduction in size>, reduction mammoplasty breast sculpture is another option.

More Information

The Purpose:

To reduce and reshape the breasts.

The Treatment:

This procedure should be carried out by a surgeon with relevant skills and experience.

Breast uplift involves a surgical operation of which several techniques can be used, all of which involve the removal of excess skin and a reshaping of the breast using the remaining skin. Some techniques also involve moving the areola (the brownish area around the nipple) into a higher position.

The operation usually lasts about two hours and is conducted under a general anaesthetic.

A cut is made around the areola (the brownish area around the nipple), vertically down the breast (and with large uplifts, then along the natural crease underneath the breast, to finally resemble an anchor shape).

You will be required stay in hospital 1 or 2 nights, to take approximately two weeks off work to rest and you should avoid lifting and physical exercise for about six weeks.

It is important that the breasts are well supported by means of a firm dressing initially and then by a supportive bra.

The sutures will be removed between seven and fourteen days, it is important to keep the incision sites out of the sun for one year.

After surgery, drains mabybe inserted, and bandages applied. Scars will be hidden by underwear.

The Results:

Your breasts should appear higher, as will your nipples. Breast lifts are sometimes permanent, but the breasts may droop again as you get older or if you become pregnant or put on weight.

The Risks:

The surgery leaves permanent scars which may, initially, be lumpy and red, but which should eventually fade close to your natural skin colour over several months. These scars may be more noticeable if you smoke, and may leave a puckered edge on the outside of the scar.

The procedure may also leave you with; breasts that are slightly different in size, asymmetrical nipples, loss of feeling in your nipples and/or breasts.

You may also be unable to breastfeed in the future.
