International Experience:

Background

• 1994 - Highest specialization degree /specialty certificate/ in plastic surgery. Issued by the Institute for Postgraduate Medical Education (A specialized institution  / university/ for postgraduate medical education) Required: 5 years of postgraduate training, of which 3 years at home facility and 2 years at determined teaching hospitals. Enrollment to higher specialty training is highly selective, needs to be supported by candidate's superiors and approved by the Institute for Postgraduate Medical Education (subordinated to the Ministry of Health). Enrollment also requires certain level of knowledge, experience and skills, documented by a list of surgeries performed. The training is concluded by a board exam.
